This theoretical field of thought has been a *huge* fascination of mine since childhood. I believe that if you increase your mental presence in your dreaming, you’ll have greater recall to notice correlation between dreaming of things to come (places you haven’t yet been to, situations that haven’t happened yet), and also the ability to communicate with someone / or share an experience through a shared dreamspace; I believe most heavily in the potential of the latter and its success with people with whom you have a great yet undefinable rapport.

On Communication in Dreams:
I hypothesize that rapport and sensitivity to psi allow for communication between two unconscious minds, but conscious awareness is a completely separate beast; meaning.. I believe unconscious communication is the first connection that can be made; you can communicate with someone’s lower strata / essence much sooner than you could to their subconscious/conscious mind (which would require parties to work and develop proportionally harder to have this communication to register in the conscious mind).
Any barriers between a party’s unconscious and conscious mind will be reflected in a barrier to conscious thought. If you communicate to a party on a subject which their unconscious holds a different view from the conscious, you will have established communication and gone on said journey with that part of their psyche only. Studying this would be difficult because researchers would have to know participants’ discrepancies between conscious views from their unconscious and true beliefs.
(So.. just because you’ve had a dream that was realer than real [it feels like it holds a higher chance of being a couriered message, absent unnecessary elements of fantasy.. that you question if others involved in that dream went through it too] bears no indication that you can walk up to said friend the next day and ask them about it. You’re limited by dream recall + if they’ve barred certain knowledge from consciousness, for starters. This is how for example, we ‘discover’ feelings we never thought we had.. whether the case be love, or the spillout when someone dies. Maybe one day you can talk about it.. but until then it’s your little shared secret with that strata of the person’s essence.)

Psi ability in the conscious world was at it’s height for me in third grade, when for almost a year straight I was able to dictate with near complete accuracy when my name was to be drawn in the weekly class raffle for the prizes I wanted… so much so, I remember asking my friend at that time what she wanted.. and her name was chosen as willed.
I’ve also noticed (results may vary =P ) that for me the time lag between a precognitive dream and its manifestation or encounter is about 3 years. I haven’t created an observational longitudinal study.. pushed away probably by its tediousness and amount of work it would require, but it’s really become such a frequent occurrence growing up..
