This week’s East Village Boy of the Week is Erik, from New York

I first came across Erik’s work in the form of an iceberg sculpture ‘hat’, complete with polar bears (I forget if they were drowning) that somebody wore during this year’s gay pride. Of course, Erik’s design abilities go well beyond that. For our shoot, we showcased him with his work in an adventure deep into the waters of Brooklyn’s Prospect Park. As dusk fell, we encountered overly friendly park employees, as well as overly friendly mosquitoes ready for their evening meal. – Steven Chu
